June 19, 2025 Hello from Jackie and Glen in sunny Scotland. We have had some very warm days (for Scotland low 70s) and sunny days (for Scotland) this spring. No rain for days on end and the poor farmers had to irrigate their crops. The rainy weather is back now with typical patterns of rain, partly cloudy turning to rain. The landscape is so beautiful here. In our travels from city to city in our Stake area we end up on some back roads and farm country that is just stunning. The missionary work continues to amaze us as people respond to the young missionaries and are coming to church, taking the lessons and getting baptized in record numbers. A couple of weeks ago we had 13 "friends" or visitors to our little branch in Perth. That is almost more than all the members who come to church. God is moving His work forward in teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We see friends and new members from all over the world here is Scotland/Ireland. We love being a part of this work in pre...

Hello from Scotland! We are having a wonderful, fun, challenging and very spiritual mission so far. We have never been closer to each other. The picture above was at the Feast and Fast fireside put on by our Perth branch in April. About 50 people attended. They had amazing food cooked by a member from the Philippines. Gonna miss her cooking! And then a fireside to kick off the fast with wonderful talks about missionary work and Jesus Christ. It was so good! Since our last blog we had a new addition to our family, our 11th grandchild, Ledger Jeffrey Meigs! Born March 22nd, 2025. Yeah for Ledger. He is a sweet baby and everyone, and I mean everyone, just adores him. You can see why! Glamis Castle + Highland Coos On one of our preparation days we went to Glamis Castle. Still lived in by nobility from centuries back, it is a beautiful site. We were not allowed interior pictures for security reasons, but had a great time with our fellow Senior Missionaries. Jackie fell in love with th...

Hiya from Scotland. We are meeting wonderful people, teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to some, and seeing fantastic sights along the way.  We moved from our old flat ("itty bitty living space") to a new flat downtown with more room to breathe. The building we live in was built in the 1500s. We walk everywhere now and love the city life.  We had a picnic by the River Tay in Perth in the Rodney Gardens.  The People We Have Met We recently met a new member of the church here and taught him a lesson about the Church. (name withheld for his safety). He is from Kabul, Afghanistan and was a  lecturer at the university there. He started a school for girls so they could get an education, which is forbidden by the ruling government, the Taliban. He attended a graduation for the girls and the government discovered this. He had a 3 hour interrogation by them and he told us that he didn't know if they would let him live. He was forced to sign a document that he would not be in...
